1 :: Explain me a time when you made a mistake in your duties. How did you rectify the error?

Candidates should acknowledge the importance of diligence in their role and how mistakes can lead to damage to expensive material or items. Look for stories where candidates erred, rectified their error and learned a valuable lesson from the experience.

2 :: As you know you will be responsible for transporting expensive materials. How do you manage stress on the job?

3 :: Tell us what was your favorite part about working there as Fork Lift Driver?

I guess, well since I am a casual, I guess the part time work, they are fairly flexible as far as work schedule. Right now I’m signed up for just working on Sundays and if I can’t make one Sunday, I’ll just text my supervisor “Hey I can’t make this Sunday.” That’s pretty much all I need to say. I can work extra days if I want to.

4 :: Can you describe your job title and primary duties?

I’m a casual associate with DHL. Right now my job is to basically move boxes from a container on to a conveyor belt and the containers, they usually move from the ball deck to a lift that will come up to our conveyor belt area.

5 :: Explain me how do you respond to working under pressure as Fork Lift Driver?

The essence of this question is to test your composure, ability to solve problems and staying true to the task, even in unfavorable conditions. Give an example of a time where you were faced with a challenge and what you did to remedy the situation. In the process, highlight how you were calm and in control till everything was okay.

Turn this question into a strength question in disguise. For instance, say something like “I do not like not being challenged at work” or you could mention a weakness that has nothing to do with the job and that you can overcome with training. This way, you end up turning this potentially tricky question into a positive.

And once you can establish this, you are to show them how you can solve this problem for them.
