1 :: Explain me do you have experience working with chemical cleaners?

Since I have previous experience as a janitor, I have experience working with a number of chemicals. I have also worked with chemicals that would melt snow. I also have the attitude to use the chemicals in a safe and sparing manner.

2 :: Tell us what kind of cleaning equipment are you familiar with?

I am well versed in using vacuum cleaners, dust extractors, floor buffers, utility carts, and automatic floor scrubbers.

3 :: Can you explain me are you happy with your career-to-date?

This question is really about your self-esteem, confidence and career aspirations. The answer must be 'yes', followed by a brief explanation as to what it is about your career so far that's made you happy. If you have hit a career plateau, or you feel you are moving too slowly, then you must qualify your answer.

4 :: Tell me what is your greatest accomplishment as Cleaner?

This is just like the what is your greatest strength. question and should be treated similarly. You should pick accomplishments that show that you have the qualities the company is looking for and this adds value to you as a candidate for the position you are interviewing for. You may have achieved a lot over the years but for the sake of the interview, pick only the relevant ones

6 :: Please explain do you possess the patience to deal with the public at times of cleaning?

With respect to the janitor or custodial position that is offered to you, you may have to clean places amidst the public during the business operation times. Your answer should be that you are comfortable working in such environment where customers are around. You can say that you started your career by working in customer service and hence you’re used to working in places where public and customers are around.

You would find it to be interesting as you get a chance to interact with other people. You can also mention that you always concentrate on the job and the task you handle; you would not be interrupted by people around.

7 :: Explain me may I know the reason for leaving your last job?

For this question remember to provide a positive reply. Mention reason such as relocation, better opportunity, you were not paid well; the job wasn’t challenging and more. Do not mention about issues with the management or talk ill about the workers, as it may turn towards you.

8 :: Tell us did you ever quit a job? Why?

9 :: Can you tell me what have your achievements been to date?

Select an achievement that is work-related and fairly recent. Identify the skills you used in the achievement and quantify the benefit it had to the company. For example, 'my greatest achievement has been to design and implement a new sales ledger system, bringing it in ahead of time and improving our debtors' position significantly, saving the company £50,000 a month in interest'.

10 :: What are your strong points as Cleaner?

We know you’re perfect. But this could work against you if you brag. Think of three or four good points and give examples of how they have benefited previous employers.
