Answer #2When I was working for one company where I was an auditor, I faced a situation where while the audit of one client was in progress, the financial statement for the previous client were urgently required as they need to submit them to a prospective supplier.
So i had to multitask. What I did was to list down the materials I needed from the client whose books were being audited and gave them the list. While they were still preparing those schedules, i focussed on compilation of the accounts for the other client who need audited accounts to take to a supplier. By the time the current audit client gave us the schedules, I had already emailed a draft of accounts for the client to the engagement partner.
